Bengaluru to witness lunar eclipse on November 8; check timing, duration and other details of the rare occurrence

 Bengaluru: On November 8, a total lunar eclipse will occur, and the rare celestial phenomenon will be visible from many parts of India at the time of moonrise. Residents in Bengaluru will be able to see a partial eclipse for about 30 minutes after totality ends. The eclipse will begin at 5:50 a.m. as seen from Bengaluru. In Bengaluru, the earth's shadow will obscure approximately 23% of the moon's disc, as only the end of the partial phase will be visible from the city.
